People Directory Overview
The People Directory is your gateway to discovering and connecting with coworkers on Coworkies. Browse profiles, search for specific people, and build your professional network within the coworking community.
Accessing the Directory
To access the People Directory:
- Navigate to the main menu
- Click “People” or “Directory”
- You’ll see a list of coworker profiles
Browsing Coworkers
Profile List View
The directory displays profiles with:
- Profile Photo - User’s profile picture
- Name - Full name
- Occupation - Professional title or role
- Location - City and space (if applicable)
- Follow Status - Whether you’re following them
Profile Quality Indicators
Profiles are sorted by completeness:
- Profiles with photos appear first
- Profiles with occupations are prioritized
- Profiles with professional skills are highlighted
- Complete profiles are more visible
Search Functionality
Basic Search
To search for specific coworkers:
- Use the search box at the top of the directory
- Enter search terms (name, occupation, skills, etc.)
- Results update automatically
What You Can Search
Search works across:
- Names - Find people by their name
- Occupations - Search by job title or profession

- Descriptions - Search profile descriptions

Viewing Profiles
Profile Overview
When you click on a profile, you’ll see:
- Profile Information - Name, occupation, location
- Photo - Profile and cover images
- Description - Bio and professional summary
- Social Links - Links to external profiles
- Skills - Professional and casual skills
- Space & City - Associated coworking space and city
Profile Sections
- About - Basic information and description
- Following - People this user follows
- Followers - People following this user
- Feed - Their recent posts and updates
- Saved Jobs - Jobs they’ve saved (if visible)
Following from the Directory
Quick Follow
- Browse the directory
- Find someone you want to connect with
- Click “Follow” on their profile card
- You’ll start following them immediately
Follow Status
The directory shows:
- Follow Button - If you’re not following
- Following - If you’re already following
- Follow Back - If they follow you
Profile Visibility
Who Can See You
Your profile visibility depends on:
- Your privacy settings
- Whether you’ve completed your profile
- Your account validation status
- Your activity level
